New government report highlights Chiropractic as “Best Practice” for pain management. Chiropractic has been referenced as a “Best Practice” when used for chronic low back pain and chronic tension headache in a recently released Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) draft report on pain management. These are preliminary recommendations by the agency and will be submitted to Congress later this year. The June 2018 AHRQ evidence review concludes that exercise, cognitive behavioral therapy, chiropractic care, and acupuncture are among non-drug treatments that can effectively manage some chronic pain conditions.
