Connecting the Dots – Wellness

The word Wellness gets thrown around a lot. So much so, that it’s lost any impact it may have had. It’s so watered down that nobody really even knows what it means or could consistently give you the same definition. It’s different for everyone depending on who you ask.

Well I would like to propose an answer to what I believe true Wellness means based on what I’ve seen over the last sixteen years as a Chiropractor. These are the three pillars of true Wellness.

1. Regular exercise-both cardio and weight-bearing. 2-4x/week.
2. Good nutrition raw fruits & veg’s and water.
3. Proper nerve function-remove any interference in the nervous system with regular chiropractic adjustments each week.

The results can be measured with different metrics. A few would be NSFi# or your Neuro Spinal Functional Index # which is comprised of your body’s scores on sEMG, Thermal, and HRV scans. BMI# or your Body Mass Index- this is an indicator for overall body composition and risk of major illness; including heart attack, stroke, diabetes, and cancer.

So connecting the dots of educating everyone to the importance of regular exercise, good nutrition, and regular chiropractic adjustments can and will help you live a much healthier, vital, longer life.
