A new study out of the prestigious medical scools of the Northeast is suggesting that increased butt time increases ones risk for obesity and a myriad of other maladies. Research showed that people that spent the majority of their day sitting had increased BMI , Blood pressure, spinal problems, and diabetes. Their not sure why, but metabolism slowed significantly in sedentary people leading to the weight gain. Obesity then leads to increased risk of cancer, stroke, and heart disease.
As we have evolved, mankind has spent more and more time sitting than any other time in recorded history. The computer has forced many people to sit behind desks for hours in order to perform their particular function in life.
